The Department of Anatomy was instituted during the academic year 1999 – 2000 (the first batch of MBBS was admitted in December 2000).  The department by and large, meets the requirements stipulated by the Medical Council of India (from time to time), with adequate infrastructure and teaching and nonteaching staff.

The infrastructure includes:

  1. Dissection hall
  2. Histology laboratory
  3. Lecture hall
  4. Demonstration rooms (2)
  5. Research laboratory
  6. Departmental library
  7. Museum
  8. Mortuary (4 bodies) and other cadaver-preserving equipments
  9. Burial ground
  10. Internet facility

Location: Ground Floor in the Module ‘A’

Several students topped in Anatomy over the years. 

Good collection and excellent preservation of cadavers and sundries

The department has been a regular venue for the prestigious ‘live’ workshops of the Neurosurgery  and ENT departments.

  • Postgraduation (M.D.) course started in 2012.
  • Performance in Dr NTR UHS Examinations (all over the state/s)
